Chelle Passes Her Entry Level 3 Maths at EK Training!

PCAS Kent is celebrating the fantastic achievement of our very own Chelle, who has successfully passed her Entry Level 3 Maths qualification at EK Training!

Chelle started her course in September 2024 and dedicated herself to attending every Monday, travelling independently by bus. After months of hard work and determination, she received the exciting news on 21st January that she had passed her exam.

Throughout the course, Chelle tackled a range of mathematical topics, including division, multiplication, BIDMAS, pi, ratios, probability, and perimeter. Among these, multiplication and fractions stood out as her favourites. She particularly found rounding up to be the most useful skill she has learned so far.

Chelle’s decision to enrol in the course was inspired by encouragement from her support staff, who suggested researching different college courses that matched her interests. She chose maths, confident that she would excel in the subject – and she has certainly proved herself right!

Not only has Chelle gained new mathematical skills, but she has also made lots of friends along the way, including some classmates who work for Kent County Council.

Outside of her studies, Chelle enjoys baking with her support staff, playing her PS5 with friends and her boyfriend, and watching Sidemen YouTube videos – with KSI being her favourite.

Chelle’s journey is an inspiring example of what can be achieved with determination and the right support. When asked about her experience, Michelle said, “I really enjoyed the course, and I’m proud of what I’ve learned. I feel more confident with numbers now.”

She is now studying Maths level 1 every Monday.
