What is the job?

Cooking support

Support Work is a unique job and no two days are the same.

As a Support Worker, you will be working alongside a variety of people who all have different support needs. Your focus will always be on ability first and promoting independence. Your job is to enable the person you are working with to achieve a range daily living tasks and undertake activities, without doing the task for them but by assisting and guiding that person to the desired outcome. Having fun is essential!

Support Work is rewarding and varied. You may be assisting someone to order their medication and accompany them to go food shopping and then bowling. You may be supporting someone for a day trip to London or a hospital appointment. Support for each person is tailored to their individual needs.
