Introducing Donna: Our New Operations Manager!

We at PCAS are very pleased to introduce Donna, the latest addition to the PCAS team. Donna will be joining us as our new Operations Manager. This week, I had the pleasure of interviewing her, where we discussed her love for Social Care, her Favourite Food, and her career as a whole. We hope you enjoy it.

How would you explain your role to someone who is new to PCAS?

My role as Operations Manager is to ensure the best possible experience for our Service Users. It's my responsibility to provide a safe service for our Service Users, ensure we are compliant with regulations, support both my Staff and Managers and keep up good contact and communication with our Support Staff and Service User's Families. I look at the quality of our services and see where we can always improve, I check Incident Reports and visit our Services. It's a very busy role and no 2 days are the same!

What made you want to work in Social Care and what made you want to work for PCAS?

As mentioned before, I love that no 2 days are the same. At the end of every day, I feel like I've made a difference in someone's life for the better. I enjoy ensuring that people live the best life possible. I like PCAS' Ethos and that it's very person-centred and they encourage people to do as much for themselves as possible. It's a small organisation so it's much more personal than compared to a big national organisation

Outside of Work, what do you enjoy doing?

In my free time, I can usually be found with my family; my Husband and Daughter. We enjoy going on days out and walks. At home we have 3 cats, and you can normally find me gardening as I find it therapeutic.
