"Deal"ing in Success
We have recently started supporting L.B in Deal on Outreach. When we started to support L.B, he was not maintaining his home environment due to lack of motivation and had been leading an unhealthy lifestyle including takeaways every night and a very high amount of energy drinks. L.B also struggled with excessive gambling and was not able to look after and ride his motorbike. In the two months we have been supporting- Pippa has been working with L.B to maintain his home environment and L.B is now more enthusiastic to participate in this. L.B completes a food shop once a week and is supported to batch cook for the week rather than buying too many takeaways which was one of L.B’s goals. L.B rarely buys any energy drinks and although they are still working on reducing the gambling, L.B attends a support group for this every Friday and feels this is helping. L.B now has more money to work on his motorbike and has recently bought two new tyres which he has wanted to do since support started. L.B’s parents have fed back to the Care Manager to say how impressed they are with PCAS and feel touched as they believe we have gone above and beyond to support Lee and they can see a huge difference in such a short time where other providers haven’t been successful in engaging with L.B
