Role description

You will be required to provide Service Users who live within the community, a person-centred quality service that meets individual needs. You will undertake an active role in enabling Service Users to achieve goals and develop pathways maximising independence and reaching potential in a manner that promotes: Respect, Equality and Diversity.

Help maintain development through individual support planning. Developing, with the Service User, future ideas and plans promoting increased independence. Ensuring a high quality of life according to individual support plans and needs Communicate effectively with all Service Users, promoting equality at all times. Promoting positive and inclusive relationships are maintained within the community. Promote a wide and varied range of activities and services. To ensure all Service Users are supported with their self-image and any personal care needs. To work according to your allocated rota. Any other duties which may reasonably be asked within your role

Main responsibilities

The duties are varied, and no two days will be the same. Every day is different and challenging in a positive way. The people we support are individuals, and they all deserve to be treated as such. However, as a general guide, duties may include:

Accessing the local community - accompanying them to go shopping, pop out for some lunch, or even a day out at a theme park!

Companionship – sharing conversation and spending time together

Meal preparations – helping to prepare and cook fresh meals

Household chores – help around the home, such as vacuuming and washing clothes

Running errands – assisting with tasks such as food shopping or picking up prescriptions

Personal Care – cleaning, showering, and assisting with toileting, helping with medications.
